CATERING NEWS MAY 2011
Catering Contract Award
I am pleased to announce that, following a competitive tender process, Aramark have been awarded the contract to supply catering and hospitality service to RGU for a period of three years from 1st July 2011.
The service proposals include a major emphasis on new brand images, improved quality and variety of service, improved customer service, and a major investment in upgrading the facilities at Aberdeen Business School, Faculty of Health and Social Care, RGU: SPORT and Scott Sutherland Basement cafeteria.
Additional service upgrades will be undertaken at Gray’s Cafeteria and St Andrew Street cafeteria to meet the changing demands of the customer base.
In addition to the above service improvements, there will be an exciting development of a “Subway” outlet at Aberdeen Business School and implementation of a “cashless” system throughout the campus to improve the availability of services on site.
New menus and initiatives in hospitality provision are also being implemented including improved communication routes and a proposed electronic hospitality booking program.
A major RGU focus on quality and customer service provision will be driven by the newly formed Catering Management Group the membership of which is as follows:
James Dunphy Co-ordinator study skills and access group, DELTA
Ryan McLean President - Student Union
Christine Buchanan Dean of Students
