PROJECT: An Evaluation of the Critical Success Factors in Implementing Technology Based Teaching Materials in Higher Education: human factors

Abstract

The research concentrates specifically on the evaluation and use of educational courseware that has been designed for delivering parts of the curriculum in higher education. This research extends the trend towards contextual evaluation of IT based learning materials and will pay particular attention to the human factors affecting their implementation. The focus of the research in this respect has been on the use of VLEs to deliver teaching. The analysis of the data gathered will be used to produce a pragmatic set of guidelines for use by academic staff.
