Starting on a Course
To ensure you have a smooth transition into academic life you will need to know what happens when you first come to the university and Aberdeen Business School. Before starting out on your course we have a range of information and materials which will help you find your way around and ease your path into university life.
Courses start in September, although some postgraduate courses, such as the MBA may differ. At the start of the course you will be provided with all the essential information regarding your particular course and given guidance on the Enrolment Process.
You will meet with your course leaders, year tutors and be issued with Student Handbooks. You will also be given an introduction to the library and to the university CampusMoodle Virtual Learning Environment.
Informal and ice-breaker sessions are held which offer the opportunity to meet and find out about other students on your course.
There will also be presentations from the Student Services Department offering information on areas such as the Study Support Centre, the Counselling and Advisory Service, the Students Association and the Careers Advisory Service. The university Learning Support facilities provide useful information on other services available to both new and current students.
